Therapy that feels
authentic

You might be used to putting everyone else first—managing emotions, responsibilities, and expectations while pushing your own needs aside. Maybe you’re exhausted from trying so hard, unsure where your anxiety ends and where you begin. You might feel like you’re doing everything right, but still feel like it’s just not enough.

I provide a space where you can slow down—where you can learn to take care of yourself without feeling guilty.

Get To Know Me

I’m Michaela Zoppa, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, and I work with women who are used to holding it all together, even when everything feels like it's too much.

If you ever feel like you’re the one keeping everything together on the outside while struggling inside, I see you. I know what it’s like to keep showing up, to carry the weight quietly, and to push through with a smile, even when it feels like you’re barely holding it together. But here, you don’t have to do that. You're not alone.

I believe healing doesn’t come from trying harder or being stronger. It happens through safety. Through connection. Through being fully seen and known. In our work together, you don’t have to hold it all together. You’re allowed to show up exactly as you are. I bring warmth, curiosity, and authenticity to create a space where you can exhale and begin to feel more like yourself again.

As a Christian, my faith gives me a deep sense of hope and shapes the way I see the worth and resilience in every person. While I never impose my beliefs, I also understand how important it can be to have a therapist who “gets it” when it comes to your values and beliefs. If you’d like to incorporate your faith into therapy, I welcome that. And if you don’t, I will honor and respect your story exactly as it is.

Outside of therapy, you’ll likely find me hiking with my husband and our dog, savoring a slow morning with coffee and a good book, or cooking something delicious.

Who I Help

You’re often seen as strong, capable, and put-together, but inside, you feel overwhelmed, anxious, and unsure of your own worth. You may be successful and driven, yet underneath it all, you’re exhausted and burnt out. You’ve spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you’ve lost touch with what you need. Even when you try to rest, it feels impossible to relax.

You overthink everything, fear making the wrong decision, or constantly brace for something to go wrong. Maybe you’re carrying emotional pain from childhood, past relationships, or experiences that left you feeling dismissed or “not good enough.” Maybe burnout or emotional abuse has left you wondering, “Is it always going to feel this way?

It doesn’t have to. You can feel better, and I can help you get there.

Together, we’ll explore the beliefs and experiences that have shaped you and create space for something new: a life where you feel more grounded, more confident, and more like yourself again.

How I Work

My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and relational—meaning we work together as a team. I use trauma-informed, evidence-based tools like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help you get beneath the surface and address the root of what’s going on, not just manage symptoms.

My goal is to create a space where you feel truly safe, seen, and supported. We’ll explore the parts of you that feel overwhelmed or afraid and start to unravel the beliefs that keep you stuck. We’ll work on setting boundaries without guilt, caring for yourself with more compassion, and stepping into a fuller, more vibrant life.
