Therapy that feels
authentic

You might be used to putting everyone else first—managing emotions, responsibilities, and expectations while pushing your own needs aside. Maybe you’re exhausted from trying so hard, unsure where your anxiety ends and where you begin. You might feel like you’re doing everything right, but still feel like it’s just not enough.

I provide a space where you can slow down—where you can learn to take care of yourself without feeling guilty.

Michaela Zoppa, Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado Springs

Get To Know Me

I’m Michaela, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, and I work with women who are used to holding it all together, even when it’s heavy.

If you’ve ever felt like you're the one everyone leans on, the one who keeps things running no matter how tired or overwhelmed you are, I see you. I know what it’s like to carry emotional weight quietly. You don’t have to do that here.

I believe healing doesn’t come from pressure or achievement. It comes from safety, connection, and feeling truly seen. In our work together, I bring warmth, curiosity, and authenticity to create a space where you don’t have to hold it all together. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to come as you are.

As a Christian, my faith influences the way I view healing, hope, and the inherent worth of every person. While I never impose my beliefs, I also understand how important it can be to have a therapist who “gets it” when it comes to your values and beliefs. If your faith is part of your story, I’m here to honor and support that.

Outside of therapy, you’ll likely find me hiking with my husband and our dog, savoring a slow morning with coffee and a good book, or cooking something delicious.

Who I Help

You’re often seen as strong, capable, and put-together, but inside, you feel overwhelmed, anxious, and unsure of your own worth. You may be successful and driven, yet underneath it all, you’re exhausted and burnt out. You’ve spent so much time taking care of everyone else that you’ve lost touch with what you need. Even when you try to rest, it feels impossible to relax.

You overthink everything, fear making the wrong decision, or constantly brace for something to go wrong. Maybe you’re carrying emotional pain from childhood, past relationships, or experiences that left you feeling dismissed or “not good enough.” Maybe burnout or emotional abuse has left you wondering, “Is it always going to feel this way?

It doesn’t have to. You can feel better, and I can help you get there.

Together, we’ll explore the beliefs and experiences that have shaped you and create space for something new: a life where you feel more grounded, more confident, and more like yourself again.

How I Work

My approach is collaborative, client-centered, and relational—meaning we work together as a team. I use trauma-informed, evidence-based tools like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help you get beneath the surface and address the root of what’s going on, not just manage symptoms.

In our work together, my goal is to create a space where you feel truly safe, seen, and supported. We’ll explore the parts of you that feel overwhelmed or afraid and start to unravel the beliefs that keep you stuck. We’ll work on setting boundaries without guilt, caring for yourself with more compassion, and stepping into a fuller, more vibrant life.
